Trondheim, Norway (1)

(Nidelva river)

Some people have showed great interest in Trondheim, Norway's third largest city and one of the first capitals of this country. Trondheim is located on the banks of the Nidelva river in the central region of Norway (Midt Norge) between the river and Trondheim fjord. Trondheim is called 'city of the kings' because it is here where all the Norwegian kings and queens are crowned, in Nidaros Domen cathedral. I prepared some pictures of Trondheim to introduce this beautiful city to the readers of my blog in Portuguese.

No picture can honor the beauty of Trondheim, a city founded in 997 where survives a certain medieval style. Today was a beautiful sunny day with a gorgeous autumn light. Even if the low temperature (between -1C and 2C) did not invite anyone to long walks outside, I walked around the Central region of the city to make these pictures.

A lot was left unregistered since it is impossible to picture a quite big city like Trondheim in one short day. I have focused on the area around Nidaros Domen a medieval cathedral which is one of the treasures of Norway. This picures were taken in two different times today. At dawn which in autumn day in November is sometime between 8:30 e 9:00 and between 12:30 e 13:00 when sun was starting to go down.

I hope you can enjoy these clicks of Trondheim.
